Brilliant first day for Swim England jumpers at Camo Invitational

Swim England jumpers have appreciated a brilliant first day at the Camo Invitational in Canada.

City of Sheffield's Maisie Bond set another individual best as she joined Crystal Palace's Jack Jefford over the platform on the opening day of the challenge at the Claude Robillard Sports Complex, in Montreal.

Bond was 35.25 focuses in front of second-set Heloa Camelo, of Brazil, in the wake of scoring an amazing 283.95 in the Girls' C 1m Springboard.

Jefford scored a sum of 394.35 focuses in the Boys' B 1m Springboard – completing 24 clear of silver medallist Jonathan Schauer from Germany.

In a similar occasion, the Southampton pair of Milo French and Robbie Lee completed fifth and seventh individually with scores of 349.95 and 346.55 focuses.

Precious stone Palace's Romano Wang was sixteenth in the fundamental round with a score of 286.30 as he increases significant involvement with his first England worldwide.

Extraordinary opening day 

In the Girls' B 3m Springboard, both Southampton's Tilly Brown and Crystal Palace's Evie Smith arrived at the last.

Dark-colored was third in the starter round and completed fifth in the last with a sum of 316.05 – 54.35 focuses loosely of Camo's Amelie-Laura Jasmin who won gold.

Smith took ninth spot with her score of 298.60 subsequent to completing seventh in the starters.

City of Sheffield's Jenna Davison was nineteenth in the primer round and passed up a spot in the last.

Suzie Collins, Swim England Talent Development Officer Diving, stated: "It's been an incredible opening day for the group and phenomenal to hear the national song of devotion ringing around the Claude Robillard Sports Complex twice.

"We're truly settled in now and anticipating getting the Group Bs on the stage."
